We just got our shipment from Sylvanian City US which was ordered on Saturday; I'm very pleased with their service. A few of the boxes aren't as mint as I might like them, but I don't know where I'd get the prices that they offer on Sylvanian Families. So, all in all, I'm very pleased with them.

The set that we, my wife and I, are most excited about is the Farmer's Cart & Pony (ref. no. 4482). We already had Betty Blackberry and really wanted to add Bob to our collection because my parents' names are Betty and Bob. To have them as a husband and wife in our Cloverleaf Corners is just too much fun. I was very happy that it was back in stock and arrived before Easter. I wish our daughter, Adah, was a bit older so she could appreciate this more.

Also for our daughter's first Easter basket, we bought the current Chantilly family sets: Christian's Bedtime (ref. no. 4332), The New Arrival (ref. no. 4333), and Garden Barbecue (ref. no. 4869). My brother bought the Garden Barbecue for Adah. I really can't wait until Easter Sunday so I can get my own paws on those Chantilly cats. I love them.

I'm sick of having families of six: mother, father, brother, sister, and twins, so I wanted to buy a few critters that would give us some variety. We bought Persian Cat Baby (ref. no. 4473) to finish off our Persis family instead of getting the twins, and we bought Brown Rabbit Grandparents (ref. no. 4120) to give our Hollie Wildwood some family. I thought that the story there would be a granddaughter from out-of-town visiting her grandparents in Cloverleaf Corners.

Finishing off our spoiled daughter's Easter basket (she already has the Norwood Mouse family and some other toys, none of which are age appropraite, in there) is the Dessert Counter Set (ref. no. 4713). Not sure why I wanted it so much, but I did. I really do like the pastery boxes that come with it.

And of course, we had to order a set for each of us "big kids." I really wanted the Dinner Party Set (ref. no. 4705) because I wanted a table service that included plates with food and I liked the table and chairs. My wife wasn't convinced that this was a set that we needed because, you know, a doll's house doesn't need a nice dining room? (Read that last bit with sarcasm, please.) Then out of nowhere, my wife is looking at the Pizza Parlor Set (ref. no. 4493) with a lower lip hanging out. She denies that she was pouting, but I swear that she was. I don't understand how she could protest a dining room, but support a pizza shop. The story ends with the purchase of both items, happily ever after.

Yesterday, we finally got our Main Street General Store (CC1606). We had ordered it from eBay, and I seriously thought that I had finally fallen victim to eBay fraud because the package took longer than expected to arrive. I love the set, but I do have to say that I'm glad we got the deal-of-a-price that we did for it; I'd have been disappointed if we spend the retail price for the set.

Along with the General Store structure, a few items for the store shelves, and gads of magazines and books came Mother Sparkle rabbit. I'm not sure if she's a hippie or what with the name "Mother Sparkle," but she is rather endearing.

I'm just sad that this is another husbandless critter. Calico Critters really needs to step it up and release some ready-to-play sets that include father figures.

My Captain Horatio Seadog is quite the popular bachelor with all of the single ladies in our Cloverleaf Corners: Betty Blackberry, Shannon Snow-Warren, Mother Sparkle, Katrina Whiskers, Margaret Petite, and, of course, crazy Caroline Cottontail who runs around town in a wedding dress with no fiance in sight!

Hopefully, Bob Blackberry and his Farmers Cart will be back in stock in April at Sylvanian City US. Fingers crossed, eh?

I have updated the Our Collection page so that it is current with pictures of all of our Calico Critters and Sylvanian Families products. The Cloverleaf Corners Family Album page is also current with our family portraits and biographies from our collection.

I also added a section to the Fan Stuff page called Essays where I will write articles about things that I have learned or discovered that I find interesting enough to share. My first article explores the mystery of my Santa Bear's family roots.

Another order came today; I think we're only waiting on one more. That is until Sylvanian City US updates their stock in April.

Today we got the convertible coupe, the Fisher cat twins, the Marmalade bear twins, and the Cottontail rabbit twins. These twin sets almost finish out our current Calico Critters families. We still need the Dalmatian dog twins and the Norwood mouse twins, I think.

I didn't open the sets yet, but our critter count is now 94 as the convertible coupe comes with three Whiskers cats. We're getting close to having our 100th critter; I wonder what he or she will be?

Today two sets of twins joined our Calico Critters collection bringing our total critter count to 85. The new additions are Peaches and Chip Hawthorne hamster (CC1533) and Linda and Skitter Slydale fox (CC1529).

I love the Slydale family so much; I'm glad that we finally broke down and bought the twins. We had said that we were not going to be buying many twins and babies because we thought we didn't need them! Haha. After more discussing, we knew that we had to get them because we didn't want to regret not having them one day... The addiction grows.

And grows. Another shipment is expected tomorrow.

I've updated all of my critters' pictures. I'm not happy with the new images, but I'm going to use them for awhile because they all match. The pictures turned out a bit too orange for my liking.

Included in this picture update are my Cloverleaf Corners family pictures for the "family album" page found on the "fun stuff" page. Making their pictorial debut on my site are the Hawthorne hamster family and the Norwood mouse family. The Norwoods are still in their packaging because my wife and I decided that they would be an Easter gift for our daughter. I also created a new banner to be featured at the top of each of the pages showcasing the four main characters of the stories I'm writing.

Yesterday, we welcomed our 81st Calico Critter, Cinnamon Hawthorne, into our collection. Of course along with Cinnamon came her parents, Harry and Tilley, and her brother, Rusty.  I wasn't too keen on this hamster family at first; my wife was the one who had wanted them, but I have to say that upon seeing them in person they are quite adorable. Tilley's dress is one of my favorites, and I really like Rusty's green overalls.

We only started collecting last December, but our Cloverleaf Corners seems to be experiencing quite the population boom!
